Good morning
It has been a tough week for the bulls and if we close done today it will be the first down week in the last 11 weeks. Earnings have been relatively strong but equities were a bit ahead of themselves after the strong run up in January. We have the jobs number today and if that comes in really strong, even though it would be a sign of a vibrant economy, it could be concerning for the markets as there seems to be a lot of concern about inflation and a overly aggressive Fed raising rates.
Volatility has come back this week in a big way with wild intra day swings. If real fear starts to roll in as indexes and sectors begin taking out key technical levels of support you may want to keep an eye on TVIX UVXY TZA LABD for short term trading opportunities. Do not chase them and play size appropriate.
The Jobs number just hit and it came in strong which is putting some pressure on equities.
