Good morning and Happy Friday
North Korea has reemerged as a global threat once again with another missile launch over Japan and there is a terrorist attack in the UK on a train that is being investigated. It is a sad thing to say but it seems like events like this do have an immediate impact but typically it is for a very brief duration in time. It appears that as a society we have become desensitized to these types of threats and violence.
We often see some flight to perceived safety plays in gold, miners and utilities and we get some fleeting action in short biased ETF's and volatility in the short term after events like these so keep an eye on the following for potential scalp or day trade opportunities.

The markets have had a nice run and the bulls have continued to take control after we experience slight pullbacks or stints of consolidation. At some point in the future there will be a swift correction that will last for what feels like forever. However, the timing of when and why that occurs is anyones guess. All we can do is play the market that is in front of us and right now the bulls remain in control. We could see some continued short term weakness as people take profits not wanting to have exposure to any type of escalation between North Korea, Japan and the United States over the weekend. It is quad witching today so we will likely see some wild volume surges. Be careful out there do not chase and always have a plan.
