Jan 30-Feb 3 2017 Market Wrap and Sector Watch

**Good morning
We have a full week of potentially market moving data and earnings ahead. Between the Fed, Trump's second week in office, earnings and the employment report there is bound to be something that moves the markets.

Technically, in a few indexes and sectors, we have broken out to the upside. We continue to struggle in others like the retail sector over worries about the border tax and lackluster earnings guidance from the holiday season. The biotech and health care sectors continue to struggle as well. but did show some small signs of life towards the end of this week.

Tech, semiconductors, transports, materials, infrastructure and financial's are showing signs of strength once again. However, a case could be made that we have moved too far too fast and need to take a breather. There has been no volatility and complacency has not been this low in over 2 years. The bulls are in control but it feels like they are lacking real conviction to keep piling into the market at these levels. Next week could be very eventful with the Fed being the event that could temper the bulls enthusiasm even more. **
