Good morning
We have a huge hurricane about to hit Florida with another hurricane developing on the heels of Irma. We had an 8.2 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Mexico, we have wild fires in several states, North Korea continuing to saber rattle, a plunging dollar and lots of uncertainty out there to make people cautious and nervous.
There is some good news though. The Patriots lost on national television in the first game of the new NFL season! I don;t mean to come off as insensitive to all that is happening with the world but for some reason I feel really good this morning after last nights game. :)
Seriously, I want to extend my prayers to all my friends out there that may be impacted by the hurricane this weekend I hope you and yours get through Irma safely.
Equities are gapping down along with the dollar as gold continues to show strength. Volatility could pick up today but I think markets may be in a wait and see mode to get better understanding of how this hurricane is going to impact the economy,
